Sunday, February 14, 2016 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ)

We woke to beautiful blue skies again this morning...unfortunately, though, the wind is supposed to increase this afternoon, just in time for the Valentines Day fish fry (crappie) that Red and Pam are having over at Brian's place. Red wanted to have a fish fry for all of our friends along the wash, and seeing as there are still a lot of RV Dreamers in the area they were included as well. Also Pam wanted to get rid of some of the fish so she could have here freezer back.

Dennis and Suzanne (my brother and sister-in-law) arrived just before 1:00...on their way back to Indio, CA from visiting friends in Peoria, AZ. They stayed for about an hour or so and then had to hit the road again to continue the rest of their drive to their winter home.

Just before 4:00 everyone started gathering across the road at Brian's. The main reason for having the gathering at Brian and Sue's was for the big fire pit they have...we could have our fish fry/potluck dinner and then sit around the fire. However, having it there ended up being an excellent idea for another reason...they have a fairly sheltered area in the back and due to the wind today, we really needed some reprieve from the wind!

As usual lots of pictures were taken! Vicki, Debbie, Gina, me and Sue (Brian's wife)...
Red, chief cook, with helper Steve...Pam supervising...
Earl, Allison and Steve...

All together I believe we had 36 people attend...

Dinner time!!
Getting lined up...

After dinner, Brian lit one of his huge campfires...

And we also had a gorgeous sunset!

Although some folks went home, most gathered around the fire...

I called it an evening at about 8:00 and headed home...Steve followed about a half hour later. Another great gathering and evening in the Arizona desert!
