Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, February 10, 11 and 12, 2015 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ)

Another gorgeous day...lots of blue sky and sunshine! It's going to be a great day for the early Valentines Day Turkey Fry and Potluck in Bouse!

We spent a leisurely morning getting ready and when Dennis called, Steve jumped on his quad and went to meet them and lead them into our spot. Our friends, Charlene and Dennis, have invited us to join them again at the event their friend, Jim, holds on his property in the community of Bouse.

We arrived at Jim's place shortly before 2:00...he has been busy landscaping his yard, complete with a pond!
The deep fryers for cooking the turkeys...
It's a hot day...they have awnings and tarps out for shade...

We were a wee bit late for the start of lunch but on a positive note, there were no line-ups and still plenty of food left!
Yummy!

Lots of dancing to old country western music...

It must have been around 5:00 when Dennis and Charlene dropped us off. We'd had a wonderful afternoon...thanks for including us in your plans, we had a great time!

Wednesday morning Steve was up and out by 8:30...he was going with Red to a Quartzsite Desert Flyers Club meeting which was packed with 70 of the 92 members in attendance. While he was gone, I went out for a 45 minute walk and was just finishing breakfast when he got home shortly after 10:00.

We spent the rest of the morning and into the afternoon working...I cleaned inside while Steve dumped the holding tanks and filled up the fresh water tank. Mid afternoon, Pam and I drove into town to run a couple of errands...I picked up a parcel at Quiet Times and then we went to Joyce's Craft Supplies where I picked up a new crochet hook and Pam some yarn she needed to finish off a project. We also thought we'd check out the Farmer's Market held on Wednesdays but we were too late in the day for it.

Back home, I decided to rip out the hat I had made for Conner...AGAIN! I now have the right hook size that the pattern calls for and besides...practice makes perfect! LOL!

Red and Pam had Brian (our neighbor and RV electrical guy) over installing the new AGM batteries and Zantrex Prosine 2000 watt inverter into their toy hauler.
He had started the work at 10:00 this morning and at about 4:30 when I wandered over, I found Red and Steve sitting in chairs outside the trailer basement with a beer in their hand "supervising" Brian...too funny!

I joined Pam inside where we sat crocheting and enjoying a glass (or 2) of wine. We headed home at around 6:00...and an hour later we heard Brian's truck arrive home. A long day for him!

Thursday morning Steve was up and out again by 8:30...two days in a row! The big RC Fly-In is today.

While he was gone, I cleaned up, did some baking and worked on the blog.. A nice morning all by myself!

Steve got home at about 12:30 and after a bite to eat, he went out to do little maintenance on the trailer while I sat out in the shade crocheting.
Time to clean the battery terminals on our four batteries...

Once he was finished, he went inside and downloaded all of the pictures he took at the fly-in this morning and started editing...he managed to get roughly 150 pictures down to 55! And here they are...

This plane took off and looked and appeared to have a control issue before diving into a tree and disintegrating...

At about 4:30, we wandered over to Red and Pam's to see how the electrical work was going on the trailer...Brian had spent the afternoon there finishing up the work.

And that basically covers the last few days...fun in the Arizona sun!
