Friday, February 6, 2015 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ)

Our plan for today was to get out on our quads early and do a little geocaching before it got too hot...but we were unsuccessful in that, it was after 10:30 by the time we were off.

We rode south on Old Yuma Road...and then west through La Paz to the start of a new string of geocaches Bob and Sue had placed this year.

Found one!

We found about 20 in the string and then decided it was just too hot. It is fine while ride the quads but stopping every .1 mile or so was pretty warm! Temperatures today were into the mid 80's. We managed to find a little shade and stopped for lunch....
Riding up to the backside of Yum Yum Mine...
Up to this hill top...
 For another geocache...
Our rig is one of those white specs in the distance!
Down I come...

We got home at around 2:00. After changing into shorts, we sat outside behind the trailer in the shade...Steve read while I crocheted. Yes, I have taken up a new hobby! I used to crochet quite a bit years and years ago and with Pam doing quite a bit of crocheting...well, I got interested again and thought I'd give it a try. I picked up some hooks and yarn while shopping at Walmart the other day.

At 4:30 we headed over to Red and Pam's place...they are have a bunch over for happy hour. Left to right...Tom, Joyce, me, Pam, Joyce, Rob and Red...

We enjoyed a wonderful evening visiting with everyone. As the sun went down, Red brought out the propane campfire and we continued talking and eating all of the tasty appy's everyone had brought!

It was going on 8:30 by the time we all decided to call it a night...yes, that was a long happy hour! Great times with great friends!
