Monday, February 3, 2014 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ)

Today we are going on another ATV ride...our quads are certainly getting well used here! It was a cool day with the temperature only 56F/13C when we headed out at 10:00...that plus the added wind as you're riding makes it even colder, so we really had to bundle up. I wore my wind coat...aka rain coat...just for protection from the wind.

There were 5 quads/6 people on our ride today...Earl, Eric, Art and Jan, Steve and me. We thought we'd go see if we could find some burros in the mountains to the west....so we took our binoculars along.
As we left, we stopped at Bob and Sue's place...Bob is doing some repairs on their RZR side-by-side...(Eric, Bob and Art)...

We'll be going through those mountains in the distance (Cummingham Mountain is the highest). Art stopped to pick up some garbage left on the side of the road, Earl did the same later in the ride...

We're following the power line...

Blythe and Ehrenburg are in the valley ahead...

Another Guzzler (wildlife watering station)...

There's a geocache up here...
...so off I go to find it...
 Success!

Looking back down on the group from where the geocache was stashed...

Lunchime in the Ehrenburg Wash area...

Looking back from the top of the hill...
and to the right...

Heading east beside the I-10

Yee ha!!! Only Eric, Earl and Steve braved this hill (luckily there was a way around it)...

Dome Rock in the distance...

We were back home by about 3:30...yes...yet another great day out on our ATV's! However, we were unsuccessful in spotting any burros. After dusting off and putting our stuff away, we relaxed inside...it's just too chilly outside to be enjoyable. After dinner, we settled in for a night of TV. Ahhh....just another day on the desert!
