As the sun came up this morning, Steve snapped this picture of the Full Wolf Moon setting...very cool...

Steve and I were up and had finished our second cup of coffee when Joel and Gaynor joined us at 8:00. They had coffee while Steve showed them pictures of some of our favourite riding areas and I cooked a hearty breakfast. Then Joel and Steve got ready for their ride. Steve is leading Joel on a ride taking the trail that we rode the other day. Joel had trailered his Husaberg motorcycle out with them. Here they are...ready to go...

While they were gone, Gaynor and I sat outside chatting a bit, reading a bit...chatting a bit...reading a bit..(you get the picture). The guys were back just after 2:00, having had a great ride. It was Joel's first time back on his bike since breaking his shoulder last August...he really enjoyed the ride and seeing some of the Arizona back-country.

Here are pictures that Steve took along the way...
They passed a group of RVer"s that have HDT as tow vehicles...you don"t see many cab-over trucks...

The cabin we had had lunch at the other day while out on our geocaching ride with Earl and Allison...

Here comes Joel....

Steve decided to explore an area he hadn't been to before. Turns out that it was another way of getting to Dripping Springs...bonus!

We sat with a cold drink outside chatting about their ride...and then it was time for them to head back to Mesa. After big hugs and handshakes, they said goodbye and were on their way at about 3:00.

We sat and relaxed for a bit and then walked across to Earl and Allison's place and met Earl's brother, Eric. He and his wife are from the Winnipeg, Manitoba area and had just arrived yesterday afternoon, escaping the cold winter weather. We chatted for a bit and invited them over for happy hour.

I finished up the blog that I had started this morning and got it posted...then it was time for happy hour. As usual, we enjoyed chatting with our neighbours as the late afternoon sun got lower in the sky...

We were just finishing dinner when we received a Skype call from Rob, Angie and Conner. The dreaded cold is going around their household...a consequence of Conner starting daycare. It's going to be a rough start for them but soon they will be immune to all of those nasty bugs! It was great seeing and chatting with them! Hard to believe Conner is going to be celebrating his first birthday in just over a week!
