Thursday, December 6, 2012 (Pleasant Harbor RV Resort, Lake Pleasant, Peoria, AZ)

We had a very relaxing start to the day...finally deciding, after a good two hours of sitting with our coffee, to get our butts in gear and do our exercises.  Then it was the usual...showers, breakfast and dishes.

While having my coffee, I had been working on our journal and then given the laptop over to Steve to add a bit about the truck.  Well, when he had finished, I continued and was just finishing up when I must have accidently hit some key on the keyboard because all of a sudden Word just shut down...not saving, or giving me the opportunity to save...it was just gone!  And of course when I re-opened the document, none of the changes Steve or I had made were there...it all had to be re-written...sheesh!  Note to self...hit that “save” icon a little more often!

While I was uploading the journal to blogger and adding pictures, Steve was outside offloading our bicycles...we haven’t had the bikes off the trailer since we left Fort Langley, BC!  He had to pump up the tires a bit and wash the dust off them...and then they were ready.  We went for a bike ride around the RV Resort and took some picturesThis is the store, laundry and pool area...

Lots of Christmas decorations...we'll have to take a bike ride at night time to see them all lit up...

There are actually very few pull thru sites...only about 3 or 4...

...most are back-in sites...
The pool...
A picnic area...

View of the marina from the south boat ramp area...

Our rig...we prefer the overflow area for the extra room and views...this area was packed last February...

After our ride, I made cookies while Steve sat outside reading his book.  First of all, a batch for Steve...his “healthy” flax/chocolate chip cookie favourites...then a batch for me...wheat-free (made with ground Almond meal and ground flax seed).  This cool little golf-cart came visiting next door while Steve was outside...

It was after 4:00 by the time the last batch came out of the oven...still time to get out for a walk down to the marina.  We stayed here late February/early last March and are amazed at how much lower the lake is now.  As a comparison, here is a picture from last February...

...and this today...

We had wanted to stop for a beer at the Marina Bar & Grill but it wasn’t open (apparently an employee didn’t show up for work today).  So after a bit of a wander around, we walked back up the long walkway and hill home.

We enjoyed another sunset with a cocktail and then headed inside as it cooled down.  We had had a very relaxing day...but also managed to get lots of exercise as well!
