Thursday, March 17, 2016 (Tuttle Creek BLM Campground, Alabama Hills, Lone Pine, CA)

After being up so early yesterday morning, I expected to have a great sleep last night. It didn't turn out that way...I was tired and was fast asleep early but ended up having a very restless night, waking up numerous times. While sitting enjoying a morning coffee, we made the decision to have a very relaxing day today...as in no resistance exercises. I sat with the laptop working on our blog until 9:30 and didn't even jump into the shower until after 10:00! Needless to say it was early afternoon before we knew it!

We did get out for a walk around the campground, though. It's quite a large campground with sites on either side of Tuttle Creek. This is the left upper loop behind us. The campground has a variety of sites from small to large with some not so level, but most are great. We are loving it here!
This site is at the top...large and with great views...looking towards Owens Lake...
Looking towards the Nevada Sierra Mountains...
Looking towards the Inyo Mountains...
Owens Lake with hardly any visible water...
Looking towards the lower left loop. You can have horses there...

I worked on our budget and did a little banking and then did a little research on-line...Steve basically chilled outside in the sunshine.

At 4:00, we wandered over to Ray and Deb's for happy hour and dinner. This is our last night together...they leave in the morning. Notice that we are in shorts again! (Picture courtesy of Ray)
Deb cooked a great St. Paddy's day dinner of Corned Beef and Cabbage...
Cheers...to another great dinner together (thanks for the pictures, Ray)...
Even a freshly baked coconut cream pie...she even made it green to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!
After dinner, we chatted for a while longer and then called it a night and walked home to watch a little TV. Another great evening spent with great friends...thanks Deb and Ray! Who's going to feed us when you're gone?
