Saturday, March 8, 2014 (Midland LTVA, Blythe, CA)

Neither one of us had a very good sleep last night...the wind was just howling and the trailer was a rockin! The whole trailer would shutter with the big gusts that would come through. Steve went out and put together the tarp poles and rope and we "tied down" the dining slide topper.

The wind really whipped up the sand...

This fellow came walking through the wash behind us...took this picture from inside our rig...

We did exactly what we wanted to do today....absolutely nothing! Other than working on our blog and getting it up-to-date, I read and we got caught up on some PVR'd shows on TV.
I did manage to go outside and take a couple of pictures of our spot here...

That's Dennis and Charlene's motorhome up the hill from us...

Shortly before 6:30, Charlene and Dennis picked us up and we headed off to the I-10 Lucas Oil Speedway, Blythe, CA. Tonight the Legends, Bandoleros and Street Stocks were racing.
Street stocks...

They had set up a track on the infield and had side-by-side UTV's racing...that was different...

Legend cars...

This Bandolero had some problems...instead of towing, they just pick it up by the roof and carry it off the track...too funny!
Bandelaros...driven by kids...
Napa factory stocks...

The races were over at about 9:00...time to head home. Another fun evening at the races!
