Sunday, January 12, 2014 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ)

After our usual start to the day, it was time to get our butts in gear...we're going out on our quads today with Earl and Allison to search for more geocaches. Before taking off, we had to get a picture of the three of us in our new helmets...

We were on our way by 10:00, heading north to a string of 52 caches that Bob and Sue had placed. This was one of our favourites...the geocache was in an old shotgun shell placed inside a broken security light bulb (garbage that had been dumped in the desert)...

There was some serious blood around the base of the tree where this geocache was hidden...Yikes!

Another great cache was inside an old glove on op of the sign post...
 Barrel cactus...

The string of caches ended at this old cabin...

...where there were a bunch of spent shotgun shells hanging from the rafters...the geocache was hidden inside one of them...
 Inside the cabin...

Big girls have more fun :-)
Lunch time!

A few mock of graves on the site...

The cabin was made of some beautiful colored rocks...

After lunch, we went up to the top of the mountain behind the cabin...
 ...for a great view...

 Recording another cache find...

On the way home, Steve and I found a couple of more caches...Earl and Allison had already found them so waited patiently for us while we took off in search of them. We arrived back home shortly after 3:00...another great day out on our ATV's on a beautiful day.

A few clouds in the sky this evening made for a colourful sunset...
