Wow, what a change in the weather from yesterday...we are so glad we chose to make our day trip to Stewart and Hyder yesterday!

Steve decided he was going to launch his boat today so after a lazy morning, we headed over to the boat launch and took care of that.  He headed out fishing at about noon.

While Steve was out fishing, I did some baking and sent some emails.  We are planning on stopping in Smithers to see some people that we just met last May in Fort Langley and then carry on to Prince George where we hope to connect with our ATV friends and go for a ride.  I sent emails to everyone letting them know of our plans. Theo and Loralee in Smithers responded that they are home and would love to see us.  I also heard back from Marlaine and Jeff in Prince George. Their ATV club (Prince George) is holding a Poker Ride this weekend...everyone would be camping out...including a couple from a club further south near 100 Mile House that we also know.  Awesome!   We had hoped to spend a little more time in Smithers but with this opportunity to reconnect with our friends in Prince George and support their Club's Poker Ride, we will only have one night to visit with Theo and Loralee.

Steve was back in around 2:00...no fish in this lake! It was also threatening to rain and the wind was picking up. I told him about the Poker Ride with the Prince George ATV Club.  He was just as happy with our timing as I was! So it's a plan...we will leave in the morning, time to load the boat back onto the truck.

Once that was done, we sat outside formulating our plans...we will leave early in the morning drive to Smithers, do laundry and stock up with groceries and then spend some time with Theo and Loralee. We will then, continue onto Prince George Friday.
