Tuesday, February 12, 2013 (Plomosa Road, Quartzsite, AZ)

We woke to bright beautiful sunshine this morning...much better than yesterday morning!  Now, it just has to warm up!  It's supposed to be in the low 70's/20's by Thursday...looking forward to shorts and flip flops again!

After exercises, showers and breakfast, Steve went outside to take pictures...he climbed up on top of the trailer to take this one. To his surprise the water that had collected on our slider awning was frozen!
(Remember to click on pictures to enlarge)

He had just finished pumping water out of our 5 gallon water containers into the trailer when this plane flew over, circling above us.  This must be the fellow Howard and Linda had met...he said that he would fly over and take some aerial pictures of the group...cool!

Thanks for sharing the pictures, Howard!

While all of this was going on outside, I was inside doing dishes and cleaning up. At 10:30 Steve headed over to the "town oval" for a seminar on Managing Electric/Battery Usage.  I finished up inside and then joined the group...the blue sky and sunshine is nice but that wind is cold!

As usual Howard gave a very interesting and informative session, followed by questions and discussion...

After the seminar, we had a bite to eat for lunch and then got ready to go out on the quads.  While Steve was checking the air in the tires, this very interesting bug walked by...apparently it is a stick bug...it's kind of hard to see but was about 6" long.

We headed out at about 1:30 with geocaches loaded into our GPS'.  It didn't take long to find the first cache..."Gingerbread Man"...

...and then the second...

The geocaches really weren't very hard to find and within about two and a half miles we had found 10 caches...
There it is!

Since all caches were fairly close together, we really weren't getting much of a ride in so we decided that 10 caches were enough, we are just gonna ride now.  We followed the trail and ended up making a big loop around to the trail we had started on.

A water break...

Beautiful mountains in the background...

We were back home just after 3:30 and after putting everything away and getting cleaned up, I prepared cocktail sausages for the potluck tonight while Steve took his chair and went down to visit with a few fellows.

At 5:00, everyone started bringing out their dishes for the potluck...wow, what a wonderful variety!

While we were all together finishing our dinner, Linda made some announcements...

...and then leftovers were put away and campfires were started.  Another lovely evening chatting by the warm fires.  Here are the ladies with their laptops on RV-Dreams Live Chat!
