Saturday, October 20, 2012 (Lone Rock Campground, Lake Powell, Glen Canyon National Rec Area, Utah)

We woke to another gorgeous day...again!  We’ve had quite a streak of beautiful sunny days.  It just doesn’t get any better!

While I sat at the table working on our blog, Steve went out to offload our ATVs...we thought we would take them out for a ride this afternoon.  After doing that, Steve spent the rest of the morning just lazing outside in the sunshine...I was enjoying the view out the window as I continued working on our blog...so many pictures!

Shortly before 2pm we decided it was time to head out on a ride...look...all of our toys are out at the same time. This place is so awesome!!

We went up and down through the hills adjacent to the campground...

Great view from up here...

On my way up the hill...
...made it!

We had lots of fun in the high-banked trenches...quite a course had been made for the quaders...

More spectacular views...

This group of campers have a great spot...

Made it up another hill...

There are trails all over the place...

We were out for about an hour and a quarter...lots of fun!  When we got back we sat in the sunshine just enjoying the view and watching all the activity on the lake.

As the sun got low in the sky, it cooled down quickly so Steve got the campfire out...

While we were sitting by the fire, we watched this fellow back his truck and boat trailer into the lake...I was sure he was going to get stuck in the soft sand, but he didn't...

We roasted hotdogs over the fire, then called it a night at around 8:00...and headed inside.  We have one more day here before we continue south.
