January 1, 2012 (Eagle View RV Resort, Fort McDowell, AZ)

We were up way past our bedtime last night so we were tired today...we both felt fine after partaking in plenty of New Year`s Eve cheer, we just had no energy.

The RV Park does not allow you to wash your RV but they allow a select few companies to come in and do it for you.  So yesterday Steve stopped at an RV that was being washed and asked what they charged...$2.50/foot...okay, they will be here at 9:00 this morning.  Yes, they were willing to do it today, New Year`s Day.

The two young fellows own their own company and one of them lives here in a trailer in the RV Park.  They arrived at 9:00 but since it was pretty quiet around here still (being New Year`s Day), suggested that they come back in an hour.  They were really interested in our truck, so after chatting with Steve about it for almost a half hour...okay...they will be back in half an hour.

While the trailer was being washed, Steve and I stayed inside...I was working on our travel journal and Steve was watching TV.  Once they were finished, Steve was outside chatting with them...I guess they had been talking about waxing it.  Hmmm...I guess our wax job that we did last September (remember...the 5 days of washing and waxing we did on the truck and trailer while in Fort Steele?) just wasn`t enough protection.  They will be back after lunch to wax our trailer!
So, our afternoon was spent sitting outside in our lounge chairs...reading and napping (okay, I was napping...Steve was reading)...while the two fellows waxed the trailer.  Ohhh...such a tough day we had!

After dinner, we went for a walk around the RV Park and then settled in to watch TV.  And that was our New Year`s Day.  We have one more day here before we move to McDowell Mountain Regional Park...we`re looking forward to the change.
